Its 7:30, I still havn’t made my way through my coffee. It is bumper to bumper traffic. I’m not having fun. the black line shows the proper, not douche method of merging onto a highway. I’m in teal and the red lady is the douche. You bet your ass I’m going to block you if you try cutting across the striped area to cut everyone off.

My favorite is when they refuse to use turn signals while also being a dick so I just pretend like I don’t know what they’re doing. I’ll let pretty much anyone merge if they use signals. Been a pretty good driving rule for me, but your mileage may vary on that one.

Not justifying it. Just saying people don’t always know how to merge and some sit... literally stopped in the merge lane till traffic clears up.

this woman was blatantly just trying to cut line. No one is moving so she pulls out of line and cuts across the striped area. three or four cars said hell no and she eventually just got back into line.

yea, turn signals help. I’m pretty adamant about zipper merging in traffic like this. I see some people ride the bumper of the car in front of them to keep that 1 car out. We’re all going 5 mph, that 1 car isn’t going to make or break your commute.

It’s terrifying when someone does this and you’re a passenger. Never rode with that guy ever again. It wasn’t even that heavy of traffic, which made it worse since everyone is flying by at 80mph as he sat in the merge lane waiting for a big enough gap.

I was getting on a highway the other day and smack into a traffic jam... it was getting towards the end of the lane and I had to get in, there was one marginal spot to get in so I put my signal on and started edging in.

The Corolla that was leaving the gap, because of course it was a Corolla, then decided I wasn’t allowed in. Bud. You left space enough to attract someone to the spot, the lane is ending and sort of *have* to come in. WTF do you expect me to do. Can you see another lane somewhere that I can’t or something?

Anyway, I decided to be a dick back to them and basically went mirror to mirror with them and kept coming in “an inch an hour, two feet a day” until they gave up. Not the smartest thing I ever did. I also don’t either regret or feel bad about it. F that guy.
